can be a great way to increase the revenues of your website. Here are some points to
consider when you are joining an affiliate program:
Look for programs which have products or services you believe in.
This should be your first consideration. If you believe in the product it
will be easier for you to promote and your credibility will be enhanced.
Choose a program which has long term tracking.
Most affiliate programs track visitors through cookies. Sometimes these
cookies are set to only last a few days or even hours! If someone
clicks on your affiliate link and decides to buy one year later
your should receive credit. If the tracking is only for a few
hours if someone buys tomorrow from your link you do not receive
credit.
Find a program that pays generous commissions!
Why waste your time with a company who does not value it's affiliates?
You can find a company which pays residual commissions or one time
larger commission. The companies which pay on a monthly basis
generally pay a smaller amount but they pay for the life
of the account. $10. per month may not seem like a lot but
if you refer 1000 accounts that is $10,000. per month every
month!. Other companies will pay a larger one time commission.
