Advice From Bill Gates and Warren Buffet
Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are some rich dudes. Two of the richest in the world. When they were asked what they would invest in during these tough economic times they both responded independently that they would invest in themselves.
People or governments can take your money, your houses or your posessions. However, they cannot take away your skills and knowledge. Buffet said that even if everyone was getting paid in sea shells that if your skill set was in demand you would be getting the most sea shells. Your skills are portable and nobody can take them from you.
If you become an expert internet marketer you will always work. Actually you will turn down work. I do all the time.
Well the gurus have caught on to this and I have seen some really expensive internet marketing courses out there. This gentleman, John Lewis, is charging 10,000 British Pounds or about $13,000. US for his course on becoming an SEO consultant. He has a great idea but the price tag is a bit steep for someone who is looking to make money. I must say, though, his idea is rock solid. If you can learn how to be an expert in SEO many brick and mortar businesses will pay you thousands of dollars. So if you are dead serious about learning to be an SEO expert it might be worth it. When I tell people that I do internet marketing many have offered to hire me to do so for their “real” brick and mortar business. So far I have turned them down. Maybe I should not. “Never say no, just put a high price on your yes.”
But when I saw Jeff Gardner’s Free Advertising Academy I thought this was a real value! I have built my business on free and/or low cost advertising. I went into the backend of Jeff’s program and it is rock solid. He has many great ideas on how to get free advertising for your website. Jeff Gardener is a free advertising expert. And guess what. His course costs just $27! This is a no brainer folks. If you want to learn how to get tons of free traffic to your website then check out The Free Advertising Academy.
Remember, once you have the knowledge nobody can take this away from you. You can apply these techniques to many different programs. Jeff Gardner’s Free Advertising is way underpriced in my opinion. So go ahead and take advantage of him before he ups the price! I highly recommend his course. It is the real deal.
Here are some topics that are covered in Jeff Gardener’s course:
* How to get free radio and television advertising
* How You Can Become an “Instant Celebrityâ€
* How to get more traffic to your website…
* How to build a list of 5,000 to 10,000 from scratch… in 7 to 10 days or less
* How to make more sales of your product…
* How to get Full-Page Ads in national magazines

I really like the part about investing in yourself. I believe that in a few years Corporate America as we know it will no longer exist. Network marketing will be it’s replacement. That’s why I became apart of Monavie to position myself now.
I agree with the remarks of Bill Gates and Warren Buffet and when I am asked, what are you going to do now Nigel, with the recession and all??
Well we just have to use the best tools we have, which is our knowledge and skills and work a bit harder at it?
A colleague and I are launching a new product the gsm-auto as a new concept in the states this year and we were both told we were mad and it is the wrong time for new ideas, no one has any money.
We have had the gsm-auto product now manufactured, approved and will be in the marketplace next month and this is done with our personal knowledge and skills and to conclude no bank or financial lending organisation would even look at the concept as they are to busy licking their wounds???
great post. Thanks
Hey Matt,
If they are still not clear as to where they should invest their money, I would advise them to invest in Medical Research, Energy Sources and last, but not the least, on a Value Based Educational System.
Computers, Internet and Cell Phones have had their sunny days already. In the world over, all human talents and cream of intelligence have been sucked into the IT whirpool. We have seen enough of chirping over internet and cell phones. And, at the end, all other major branches of Science and Engineering and the basic human values have been thoroughly neglected.
It is high time that we corrected this lopsided growth in our Economy.Fortunately, the IT culture has brought in a highly disciplined and target based global work culture and internet and cell phones helped to shrink the world into a global village. Now if we can divert our concentrated efforts to the above listed areas of Medical Research, Alternative Energy Sources and a Value Based Educational System, our planet earth will be a much better place to live in and the posterity will be thankful to us.And, I can assure the investors that there will be no recession of any kind in the the field of Health care and Energy Sources as long as Man is there on earth. Also, the third field, viz., the Value Based Educational System will help to lubricate the world and smoothen the Tensions due to the strains of living in a competitive environment.

Dear Matt,
This is a very interesting article you shared with all of us. I agree with Mr. Gates and Mr. Buffet on their advices about investment during tough economic times. However, very often, the concept of investing in oneself to develop skills and abilities becomes confused for most people. Often, people give up business opportunities in hard economic times to go back to regular and traditional school because they are afraid and they hope they can avoid facing their fear in a regular classroom. But, I personnally think that economic crise times represent huge investment and learning process opportunities. If we invest only in an effort to earn money, it is probably that we miss our goal and money, but if we invest in order to learn about the investment process, without any fear of failing and learn about our failures and errors; if after finding out the reasons of our failures we try it again modifying and rectifying our investment strategies, I am sure that we develop skills and abilities, which will help us to succeed in the future. The reason for which most people fail in business, is that they are not willing to make mistakes, learn about the process, rectify and modify strategies in order to try it again and keep learning. In conclusion, I think that the best business school to develop skills and abilities is the real life business school, this business school in which you learn from your mistakes, sometimes, losing money, times, illusions, but you develop skills to try it again in a better way in an effort to reach your goal. When we invest without success, instead of thinking about the money we lost, we should better think about the lessons we can learn in this process. The Internet market offers a huge opportunity for that. Many affiliate programs in the internet offer a huge set of coaching and training, which can contribute to our learning process. And I agree that there are many courses and programs that can help us too, as the courses you recommended. We only have to be willing to learn.
With thanks and regards,
Valerio
I also agree, investing in yourself is worth more than all the money in the world.
Give me knowledge then I’ll know kow to make money. But if you give me money without knowledge, I won’t know what to do with it.
No wonder, the guys who are lucky enough to win the lotto lose all their millions within a year. Reason?
They have no knowledge of how to grow their newly found riches.
the tips of Bill Gates and Warren Buffette is TIMELY and VERY IMPORTANT. Keep up the good work.
Yes, INTERNET and ONLINE ADVERTISING, are the tools of the future for the budding young entrepreneurs, who have of lots of ideas and energy and little money.
Good, that Warren, has chosen Mr.Jain, as his successor. In brains and ideas, Indians are second to none and in a challenge, they can beat others hallow!-especially the youngs Indians of today!
I agree for this post. For me, it’s inspiring to development and to manage the internet marketing. Thanks a lot.
Nice post.
Be Successes.
I absolutely agree with those who say you ought to invest in your self. After years of working in unsatisfying jobs, and a period of unemployment, I decided to study hand reading, which I had been doing all my life as a pastime, and to make it my prime occupation, operating from my own website. I found that it, became not only an enjoyable and stimulating thing to do, but it also gave me the satisfaction to find out that I could combine making my living with the pleasure derived from being able to make a real difference in the clients life.
That book by Jeff Gardner seems to be a really interesting one and I definitely will be reading it when time allows.

I agree with Mr.Gates and Mr.Buffet.I do so believe that its important to invest ,Invest in your self. This is pearls of wisdom!
In this country we seem to label as education only those things learned in or related to the classroom and formal setting verified by a diploma or degree. From a child I have been investing in myself, and making it my business to learn as much as possible from everyone that comes my way, since even a baby can teach you something if you pay close enough attention. They are right, no one can take your skills away.
I think there are a number of idea’s stated such as
“How to build a list of 5,000 to 10,000 from scratch in 7 to 10 days or less” that are not really stated at Advertising Methods FREE TIPS use th above click
