If you have videos uploaded to YouTube and you are not using this technique you are throwing away perfectly good targeted traffic. Here is how it works:
You can not only comment on other people’s videos on YouTube with a written comment but you can respond to a YouTube video using a video of your own. YouTube has a way that you can record a video of yourself directly from your webcam or your can choose to use a video that is already in uploaded to your YouTube channel as a response to somebody else’s video. Essentially a video response is a video comment. You are making a comment on a video with your own video instead of writing a comment.
This technique really works to get free traffic to your website. I did a test. I set up a YouTube account and uploaded about 40 versions of the same video. (YouTube only allows you to upload the same exact video to your YouTube account once but if you edit each video slightly it becomes a completely unique video to YouTube even though essentially it is the same video.)
I did not do any type of promotion for these videos except that I used each video as a video response to another popular video in my niche on YouTube. Here is a screenshot of the results after one month:

2923 views of my videos in one month using this technique. Over a period of a year that would be 36,000 free views of my videos just by using the videos to respond to other popular videos. Not bad!
Now if you are in a super popular niche you could have better success. But the bottom line is that if you have videos on YouTube right now and they are NOT being used to respond to other people’s videos you are losing traffic.
It is very easy to do a video response.
1. Log into your YouTube account.
2. Use YouTube‘s search feature to look for a popular video on your topic. If you want to find the most viewed under “search options” sort by “view count” and you will get the most popular videos first.
3. Once you find the video you want to respond to then click the white space where you could make a written comment. A little icon will appear which says “Attach A Video.” If you are logged into your YouTube account you will see a list of YouTube videos that are in your YouTube account.
4. Click on the video in your account that you want to be used as a video response.
5. Click “Use The Selected Video” button.
That is it. Now your video will be a video response to that video. When people look in the comments are of the video they will see your response video. Not too many people outside the internet marketing field are using this technique. Some channel owners will have this feature blocked or they have their settings set so that they must approve the video response but many do not.
So go to your YouTube account now and start using your videos to respond to other videos and start getting your free traffic now! If you found this post helpful please like it in Facebook and comment. Thank you! Matthew Meyer.

That’s a really great idea. I will definitely going to try this and tell you about the feedback of this after some time.
Thanks man…
Matthew:
I had no idea you could do that. I’ve been wanting to get started on You Tube…now that’s another idea. (Must admit, will have to start making videos to post them. Am rather scared to try!)
Thanks again for the great idea.

Hi!
Thank you for sharing your idea!
I haven`t yet come to the point that I am ready for this, but I am interested in learning. Sooner or later I will try what you suggest here.
Again; Thanks!

Hi Matt,
Nice trick, indeed!
But tell us: what exactly is the benefit of using a large number of slightly different video’s?
Thanks for your answer!
Hi Leo, you must keep in mind that you can only use one of your videos to respond to somebody else’s video. You cannot use one video to respond to lots of videos. So say you are promoting a weight loss program. You want to get traffic from the top weight loss videos using the video response technique. You need lots of videos but you really only have one message.
So you make one really good video about your weight loss program and then edit each one to be slightly different. Even if you just edit the time length of the title tag to be 1 more second YouTube sees this as a unique video.
You then upload the videos to your YouTube channel and all the videos are considered unique videos even though they are essentially the same.
You can then use each of these videos to respond to a different popular video on weight loss. If you have 100 popular videos that you have responded to with one of your videos that is 100 popular videos giving you back free traffic.
You do not have to do this of course. You can just use the videos that you have already on your YouTube channel to respond to relevant videos that are popular.
It is time consuming uploading lots of videos and editing them to be different. I did it for a test. It would only be worth it if the niche was really hot and the videos got lots of views.
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Again, Robert
Robert, I am glad you actually did the technique and it worked! I am glad this helped you.
Matthew,
It’s a blessing having you as a leader. In order to best implement your techniques for YouTube, I need to personally speak to you, if possible. I’m legally blind, needing some assistance. It takes me 3-4 hrs per video I post. Could you help?
Thank you!

It just seems like you will quickly get flagged in the youtube community.
I have had 99% positive feedback. Actually way better than other forms of social media. It actually has surprised me. Remember you are just asking for friend requests and subscribing to their channels. People love this. Also this software is very careful to act within the TOS of YouTube. It really just helps you automate tasks you could do manually saving time. It is a white hat software actually.
Great Advice, keep up the good work, I like the tips on Youtube Video Response, I will have to implement in my marketing arsenal…
Take care,

Great tip!! Just getting started in my business, this looks like a serious money saver!
Thanks
Hello, good morning, I received your email regarding Utube and how to use to respond to other videos. Can you please tell me how to “download” your email video to my desktop? Thanks, George.
You can download Youtube downloader here. You can download YouTube videos to your desktop with this free software. Thank you. Matt.
special trick!!
I have been trying the video response feature, but I must be thinking too big, as like you said some video owners restrict this feature. Maybe I need to go after smaller videos, as the most popular ones are usually restricted.
It depends on the niche. Check out rap videos. I mean it. They have huge visitors and almost all are open to video respsonses. Why? Because they are smart. For every video response
there is a link back to their video from the video which responded which gives them more traffic.
Thanks for the info, gonna do this today
Regards,
Amos
Great Tips, thanks for your sharing….
Tried this but no success, the icon to add a video never appeared ….any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
Left click on the white space where you can make a text comment, the video response option will appear on your right. You must be logged in to do this. It works.I just did it.
Thanks for sharing will check it out and tell friends.
Hi Matthew,
I have not ventured into the video marketing arena yet.
I realise that it is the way of the future (or should say it is here now) and will need to start soon or be left behind.
Great information…will be exploring the rest of blog for more info.
Cheers
Bryan
