To me if is more about the quality of the post. If you have a few affiliate links that are very relevant to the article that might work. I would prefer links to your own sites even it your site promotes various affiliate programs.

Similar to Alexander, I am also keen to submit and have a few of my own sites plus other affiliate products I’m marketing. Will it be OK to have the occasional “dual” links in the article i.e. one to my own site and the other to an affiliate offer? In all of my wrtings and articles, there will be an integral content relevance a between the two and it will therefore not come across as being completely disparate.
Sites like Zimbio.com and buzznet.com are great sites to post your self written articles. Writing articles is a terrific way to promote your blog and/or web site. Plus its totally free to post your writing. You can get fans, ie followers to your weblog or web site too. By the way Zimbio even give you an opportunity to ping your blog to the major blog directories. Both Zimbio and Buzznet are entertainment, fashion, gossip sites sites.
Zimbio’s Alexa rank is 390. In other words in the top 500 sites. Buzznet.com 1475 ranking.

This post is aimed predominantly at SEO and internet marketing newbies. I was newbie myself about five years ago, responsible for promoting my fledgling company on the internet with no previous experience and absolutely no idea where to begin.
We made the mistake of hiring a guy to design the web site (and what a great job he did), although he had no SEO experience. The site was attractive but being found in the search engines was an impossibility. So, I took over the web site, bought some simple tools (that I was not sure would work) and downloaded a free CSS template from a free template web site.
I went to an SEO workshop and one of the speakers waxed lyrically about the power of article marketing. It all sounded rather complex and slightly suspect, but we were told explicitly that this internet marketing technique was strictly ‘white hat.’ So, I wrote several articles and they were distributed from a hub site around the internet. I was delighted that I had tried it out because within two weeks, we were featuring on the first pages of Google for our chosen key words. Five years later and many articles written we hover in places 1-3 on Google for most valuable keywords.
We have also found that being found in foreign search engines is of great value, especially as we have free products available for iPhone/iPad and Android which brings people from around the world who are interested in our educational products and services.
We have recently set up a Facebook page for the business which is outsourced to a specialist agency. Google is increasingly rewarding the value of social media activity, both ‘likes’ and referral visits seem to have a valuable link juice value.
These are strategies that have worked for me (an inexperienced and reluctant SEO person) and I suggest that they will probably work for you. I would be happy to answer any questions if you have any. Regards Vince

I think there is huge potential for international blogs. However, our readers are English speakers so we only take English posts and promote English language websites. Good luck. Matt.
Something very unexpected happened a couple of days ago. My recently instigated company Facebook page suddenly received over 300 likes. It all happened within about 4 hours. It started unexpectedly and ended equally so. I keep hoping this freak activity will resume but it hasn’t so far. Has anybody ever experienced anything like this, and do you have any suggestions on what might have caused it? Regards Vince
I have seen eratic activity on Facebook as well sometimes. It is strange. I do not get it either. I think they are constantly changing and tweaking the way they do things at Facebook and we are just going along for the ride!

Rat’s, i published a few blog posts last week that i should of submitted here. I may submit one in the future Matt. Because of some changes i did on my blog, i need to continue to pump fresh content on it to speed up the reindexing process. (Made internal SEO changes)
