If you are going to become a successful affiliate on the Internet, you need 3 “intangibles.” These are things that must come from WITHIN you.

First, you must have a strong WHY.

Why must you make affiliate marketing work? What is driving you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control my life and finances through a little box that I could carry with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that succeeding in this business would provide for me. I found my why. You MUST find yours.

If you want to attract repeat visitors and want them to stay longer, your focus for the next few months should be on the social aspects of your site.

Social media uses technologies like RSS, blogging, podcasting, tagging, etc. and offers social networking (MySpace, Facebook), social video and picture sharing (YouTube, Flickr), and community-based content ranking (Digg, MiniClip) features.
The central theme of these sites is user generated content used for sharing amongst other users. The social aspects of these sites allow users to setup social communities, invite friends and share common interests.

You don’t have to change your site immediately to take advantage of these new technologies. Introduce small changes incrementally and you will be well on your way to measure up to your visitors’ new expectations.

Step 1. Declare who you are to the online community. People should be able to relate to you. Unless they know more about you, you will be just an unknown identity and most people don’t like to deal with people they don’t know. Create an About Me page to líst your achievements, skills and aspirations.

Step 2. Create a MySpace page and link your biography in the Profile of your MySpace page. Also provide a link back from the MySpace page to your website. Spend an hour every week to develop your online social network in MySpace. Invite a few of your new friends to write blog articles at your site about your products or services.

Step 3. Install a free blog and start publishing at least one article in your blog every week. Provide an easy bookmarking feature to social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us. This is done by providing an action button for each article in your site. The action button takes users to the submission page of the bookmarking site.

Step 4. Provide an action button for direct posting of blog articles to Digg. Digg is a popular news ranking site. A well dugg article will bring thousands of visitors to you.

Step 5. Provide a forum at your site for users to discuss your products and services. Don’t delete negative comments because they provide insights into the improvements needed to serve your visitors better. However, censor hate speeches and meaningless bantering. Register your forum at BoardTracker. BoardTracker is a forum search engine.

Step 6. If you are offering products, allow users to review and rate your products. This will help you in inventory management because you may want to discontinue low rated products.

Step 7. Provide RSS feeds for your new products, blogs, forum postings, etc. An RSS feed provides teasers of your content. Users will use RSS readers to scan your teasers and visit your site for more information if the teasers interest them.

Step 8. Publish all your feeds at Feedburner. Feedburner provides media distribution and audience engagement services for RSS feeds. They also provide an advertising network for your feeds. If you have quality content, you will be able to monetize your content using their services.

Step 9. Create short how-to or new product videos and post these videos in social video sharing sites like YouTube and Google video. Provide a few start and end frames in these videos to introduce your site with your site URL. Post these videos using catchy titles, teaser descriptions, and appropriate tags to make them easy to discover.

Step 10. Provide embedded links to your remotely hosted videos on your site. This will save your bandwidth and storage space because the videos reside on the video sharing sites rather than on your site’s server.

Step 11. As well as videos, use social photo sharing sites like Flickr and SmugMug to share pictures related to content on your site. Use the same title, description and tag techniques discussed earlier for social video sites.

Step 12. Provide a “Send to Fríend” feature for all the products and services you provide. This feature is a link that sends the article, product description, etc. to a recipient via e-mail.

Social media is not a fad. It is here to stay and brings a profound change to web surfers’ experiences. Now is the right time to implement features that will make your site Social-Media-Friendly. Also, using marketing techniques that utilize popular social media sites, you will see a massive íncrease in traffíc to your site.

You cannot even choose the Clickbank products you want to promote! I thought it would really be interesting to have software which quickly produced nice review sites of Clickbank products. He absolutely does not deliver on this.

Most of the tools that are in the members section can be found free on the internet. Such as the Overture keyword tool,tools to find the most popular ads for your keywords and links to some sort of article directory of affiliate marketing. Folks, if you want to find the most popular Google Ads just type your keywords into Google. You do not need a $67. per month subscription for this.

There is one piece of information they gave me which I found interesting. That was how to place Google Adwords ads on specific sites and how to pay per 1000 impressions and not per click. They had a nice tutorial on this. I have not had a chance to test the technique but I will. I guess I could have learned this from the Google help section but I did not not. They introduced this concept to me and this alone might pay for the price of admission. I have yet to test this out. I guess it is taken from a book called Adwords 180.

After you order you are redirected to a page where you can upgrade to get the Advanced Day Job Killer Blueprints. This costs $47 then $47. monthly! This is fine with me if they really give me great info. Unlike many marketers I will read the stuff and really try to apply it. So if the info it is good this is nothing for me to pay.

Here is some of the copy from the upgrade page:

This, my friend is complete bull! I printed out the entire Arbritage PDF. Of course I know if I buy traffic low and sell high I can make money. Duhh! What I do not know is how to get quality traffic on the cheap. This report is pure fluff. I read the whole thing on the beach 1 hour ago. They do not tell us where to get the cheap traffic! This report tells you nothing. The only good piece of info I got out of this report was to consider international markets. However, this is just a tip. They go into no detail on how to exploit the international markets. Really superficial. Not worth the money at all. Mainly it is a pitch for another backend product which is supposed to go into great detail on the subject of traffic arbritrage.

Didn’t I just pay a $47. upgrade for this? Now I have to buy another ebook. Shameless. If the customer PAYS for the info deliver it. Here is the ebook they are promoting on the backend. You are probably better getting this though I have not had the chance to review it. It is called Google Payload.

Overall I am really dissapointed with this system. I do not recommend that you buy it. No affiliate link here to click. If I hear information to the contrary I will post it but for now it does not even come close to living up to the hype.

I was prospecting for quality link exchange partners the other day with my trusty Arelis software and I received a response back from someone named Adrian Cooke.

I use the software to find websites which are linking to sites similar to mine then I offer the webmaster some great exposure on my sites in exchange for the same. I generally way over deliver to my partners. Adrian, responded that he had placed my link at the top of his blog and looked forward to my response. I checked the Alexa rating on his blog and it was 30,000. Even more than my busy www.thefreeadforum.com (though we have been in the 20,000 range for the last week.) He really gave me a great link back. Then I started reading the blog NetBusinessBlog.com.
Wow! Really an excellent blog! Great articles about internet marketing that were not too long but had some real meat to them. Frankly I think his blog kick’s my blog’s butt! (I am not proud I am willing to learn!) He has articles about 4 Reasons to Write Guest Articles, How not to rely too much on Google, how to outsource your article writing, forum marketing, social media marketing and more. If you want to learn about real internet marketing and not just phony get rich quick stuff check out his blog, NetBusinessBlog.com and subscribe to his RSS feeds. So many people marketing on the internet want the quick fix and are not willing to learn their craft. Here is the deal. You can make six figures on line and live anywhere. The dream is true. I know many who are living it. But guess what? You have to learn your craft! Forget the lotto mentality. This is a profession. It takes time, work and committment to learn and Adrian’s NetBusinessBlog.com is a great place to start getting real about learning this business. Let’s get busy. One other quick point. In searching for linking partners I have often found that the people most resistant are the people without any traffic! The guys who have the goods are often more open! The losers, as I affectionately call them, are really hung up on PR ratings. I am hung up on traffic. If Google likes my site great. If not I will get traffic some other way. But I know big money making sites that have tons of traffic that somehow Google does not like and have PR0. My best money making site is a PR0! Google Snatch is an new Clickbank ebook which promises to teach you how to get quality pay per click style traffic without spending a dime on expensive pay per click campaigns. Latif, the author, claims that you can even compete even compete in highly competitive niches such as golf without spending a dime on pay per click traffic. He proposes that only 30% of pay per click traffic are real buyers. The rest are competitors or just tire kickers. Latif claims that he makes a 7 figure income from his techniques. Well, I am not too sure about that. His site has an Alexa of 44,000 which is excellent. I have two sites in this range
and they are both money makers. My guess is 6 figures not seven.

Well, should you spend $97. on Google Snatch? The first question you really need to ask yourself is are you actually going to apply the techniques? The main problem with all “how to” books is that very few people actually apply the technques. Before buying promise yourself first that you will read Google Snatch and second that you will diligently apply the techniques. My experience with these type of books is that there is always something you can learn which is worth the price of admission but usually the book falls short of the hype on the sales page. This does not mean you should not buy it! If you can make your $97. back and then some it is worth it. Maybe you will learn techniques that you can apply to mulitple projects. Maybe you will get your own ideas and take off from there by reading the copy. As long as you are going to apply the techniques 9 times out of 10 you are not wasting your money. You may not find the magic formulat to make 7 figures but you should improve your bottom line. Up to you. Here is some of the material that is covered in Google Snatch:

1. What the gurus aren’t telling you about the smaller niches. The niches that have already been very profitable for them.

2. How to stop making Google rich by spending all you money on pay per click ads.

3. How being on the first page of Google does not cut it. This will really ruffle the feathers of the SEO gurus.

4. How choosing the wrong keywords is allowing your competitors to have a serious edge.

5. Why everyone is falling for the B.S. behind the low hanging, long tail keywords and leaving more room for others to cash in where the credit card buyers are

6. How certain words are getting more CTR, 65%+ (if you gain a high CTR, does that mean you are making more money or does it mean Google is cashing on YOU more?)
